My Story
Hi! I’m Kathi, a former professional ballet dancer turned Montessori middle school teacher and coordinator. My journey has been shaped by my passion for movement, wellness, education, and adolescent development. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with teens and adults to help them discover their strengths and achieve balance in both body and mind.
After transitioning from dance, I became a certified Pilates instructor and holistic health coach. These experiences gave me the tools to help individuals build strength and well-being - physically, mentally, and emotionally. In 2012, I discovered the Montessori method while looking for preschool programs for my son. I immediately resonated with its focus on meeting each person where they are, respecting their unique needs, and guiding them to grow at their own pace.
This approach has been central to my work with adolescents, where I use Montessori principles to support students in their learning journey. I believe that when people understand themselves - acknowledging both their strengths and areas for growth - they can build confidence in their ability to succeed. In my work I challenge clients to celebrate and hone their strengths while simultaneously working on improving their weaknesses. Through individualized guidance, I encourage them to reflect on their own learning process, develop a growth mindset, and take ownership of their own journey.
Whether it’s teaching wellness, mindfulness, or movement, or providing one-on-one coaching or leading workshops, I strive to guide students toward becoming independent, self-aware humans who can collaborate with others in meaningful ways.
Thank you for visiting! I’m excited to share how the Montessori method, combined with my background in wellness and mindfulness, can help support the growth of adolescents and adults alike.
